David serves families at the funeral home as a Funeral Director. After his brother, Billy, retired in December 2011, David was named manager of Stephenville Funeral Home in January 2012. David has been with Stephenville Funeral Home since 1973.
David was born in Dublin and graduated from Stephenville High School in 1971. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1975. David is very active in the community and his church. He is a member of the Tarleton State University Athletics Texan Club Board of Directors, Stephenville Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, and Stephenville Optimist Club. David was honored by Tarleton State University on June 1, 2013, receiving Hall of Fame honors from TSU Athletics for his continued support for athletic programs.
He is married to the former Margaret Burgan of Duffau. They have a daughter, Kristi, and son, Clint. They also have four granddaughters, Elizabeth, Abigayle, Rachel, and Lucy, and a grandson, Benjamin. David and his family are members of the Graham Street Church of Christ.
Mark serves as Funeral Director and Embalmer at both Stephenville Funeral Home and Higginbotham Gorman Funeral Home.
Mark was raised in West Texas and moved to Stephenville to attend Tarleton State University. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 2000 and has worked at Funeral Homes in DeLeon and Stephenville.
Mark and his wife, Kim, reside in Stephenville, and they have three children and three grandchildren.
Oscar serves as Funeral Director and Embalmer. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1996 but has been in Erath County since 1994.
Oscar has been serving families and doing the best job he can to make things easier for those he helps since 1997. He now resides in Morgan Mill, where he has been for over twenty years. He has been married to Gwen Aparicio for over 30 years.
Oscar is a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, a member of the Lion’s Club as a board member, as well as a Master Mason at Stephenville Masonic Lodge #267. Oscar is also a firefighter for the heroic Morgan Mill Volunteer Fire Department.
Kristi has served as an administrative assistant for Stephenville Funeral Home since 2016 and has spent most of her life in Stephenville. She is married and has two children, Elizabeth and Benjamin. She graduated from TSU in 2015 and is currently enrolled in the Master’s Program at TSU.
Kristi’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her family and her two dogs.
Rolan is a funeral assistant at Stephenville Funeral Home. He is also the Music Director at Morgan Mill and Bluff Dale Methodist Churches. He enjoys anything having to do with music, arts, and theater.
Rolan puts together videos and music for funeral services and has been working for Stephenville Funeral Home since November 2016.
Brady is currently enrolled at the Commonwealth Institue for Funeral Services. He enjoys working funeral services and helps out in any way he can. He is very eager to learn the funeral business. He has been with the company since September 2022.
Leo graduated high school from Tolar in 2022. He is now working towards his degree in construction science at Tarleton State University. Leo attends St. Stephen Orthodox Mission, and his father owns Texas Life Magazine. Leo began working for Stephenville Funeral Home in 2023 and was eager to do anything that was needed from day one.
Theresa was born and raised in Stephenville, Texas. She has been working with Stephenville Funeral Home since June 2020. Prior to joining our team, she worked for Stephenville ISD for 29 years and graduated from Stephenville High School in 1979.
She has one son, Kyle Hutchins, who lives in Virginia and teaches at Virginia Tech. Theresa has a very kind personality that makes her a great fit to work with families during their times of need. She is a great help to us during services and visitations!
Sandra has been with Stephenville Funeral Home since 2007. She was born in Dublin and graduated from Dublin High School in 1973.
She began the 38 years of her banking career in July 1973 at what began as The Farmers First National Bank in Stephenville and later changed to Bank of America. She retired from there in 2012. Her coworkers and customers from those years became friends as well as family. For 9 years following that, she worked at Texstar Ford in Stephenville, really enjoying her time there learning about the car business and gaining more wonderful friends.
Sandra has one daughter, Marissa, and loves her three granddogs, one grandcat, and one grand miniature pony. She is a member of The Cowboy Church of Erath County and enjoys traveling when she can. As she truly enjoys being a comfort to people, Sandra helps with our visitations and funeral services.
Jessica grew up a preacher's kid and lived in Uganda, Africa, as a missionary kid. She graduated from Gustine and went on to get her cosmetology license, which she still holds today.
She moved to Gorman in 2017 and spends most of her time with her husband, Martin, and daughter riding horses, working cows, and everything else that comes with the ranch life. Most importantly, Jessica loves Jesus and hopes that her life demonstrates that.
Jessica initially worked in banking before joining the Higginbotham Funeral Home team in 2022. She now works at both Gorman and Stephenville Funeral Home, hoping to be a blessing to all those she encounters.
