Zane Grey "Bud" Jones, II, 52, of Stephenville, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his residence, with his family by his side. Funeral Service for Bud will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 16th at Rocky Point Baptist Church in Stephenville with Edward Heinze and Art Gartside officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial: West End Cemetery in Stephenville. Bud was born on October 28, 1961 to the late Zane Grey Jones Sr. and Mae B. Ingram in Tampa, Florida. He married Peggy McGrath on December 31, 1982 in Safford, Arizona. Bud was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church, and was a resident of Stephenville the past eleven years. He was a pastor, preacher, sports writer, photographer, and a loving Christian husband, father, and grandfather. Bud is survived by his wife Peggy; his children, Matthew Jones and wife Cassi of Waco; Kayleigh Jones of Austin; Zane Jones, III and wife Ashley; Clifford Jones both of Stephenville; Grandchildren, Zane G. Jones, IV; Bailee Jones and Reagan Jones; sister, Carolyn Grogan and husband Rob of Lebannon, Oregon; brother-in-law, Mike McGrath and wife Paula; sister-in-law, Audrey Fuller and husband Ken, and his faithful Golden retriever, "Ginger".
