Yvonne Alsup Locklin

Yvonne Alsup Locklin, 77, of Stephenville, died Monday, September 13, 2010, in Arlington. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Howard Martin officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, at Stephenville Funeral Home. Yvonne was born September 12, 1933 in Stephenville to the late Winfield Schley and Evelyn Mason Alsup. She married Jerry Locklin on October 19, 1957 in Stephenville. Yvonne served as executive secretary for the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce over 20 years, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Yvonne was born and raised in Stephenville; moved to Fort Worth in 1960, and returned to Stephenville in 1976, where she has lived most of her life. Survivors include her husband, Jerry; two daughters, Lisa and husband J. D. Duggan of Bastrop, and Stacy and husband Harry Dieter of Mansfield; grandson, Andrew Locklin; two sisters, Janice and husband Ralph Young of St. Joseph, Missouri and Tina and husband Steve Blair of Granbury; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the donor's charity of choice.
