Winford Burton ‘W. B.’  ‘Bake’ Baker, 89, of Morgan Mill, died Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

Memorial services for W. B. will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 12th at the Morgan Mill Baptist Church in Morgan Mill, with Joe Rogers officiating.  Visitation with the Baker family will follow the memorial services at the church.

W. B. was born on November 10, 1932 in Longview, Texas to the late Thomas and Ozie Calhoun Baker.  In March of 2009, W. B. and Carol Ann Wren Chauncy were married.  W. B. served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.  He was in construction as an iron worker, a member of Iron Workers #263, and he spent 3 years in Saudi Arabia in construction.  Bake. loved carpentry, spending time wood working, he loved to travel, and he was a member of the Morgan Mill Baptist Church.  After high school Bake played in a semi-pro baseball league. Bake has lived in Morgan Mill for the past 12 years.

Bake is survived his wife, Carol; sons, Justin and his wife Jenny Baker of Aledo, and Tommy Baker; daughters, Jody and her husband Lee Thornton of Arlington, and Becky and her husband Dennis Slatton of Mansfield; step-daughter, Jana and her husband Kenneth Jackson of Morgan Mill; step-son, Mark Chauncy of Stephenville; niece, Linda and her husband Greg Swann of Knoxville, TN; eighteen grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Bake was also preceded in death by a son, Barry Baker; sister, Lila; and a grandson, Douglas Jackson.
