Wilma May Eicher December 12, 1927 - February 16, 2018 Wilma May Eicher, 90, of Stephenville, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 in Stephenville. A visitation for the Eicher family will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, March 10th at Stephenville Funeral Home. Wilma was a devoted wife, mother and gracious hostess. Her life offered her the opportunity to be a world traveler, gourmet cook, avid golfer and bridge player, and voracious reader of mysteries. She worked 2 jobs: telephone operator and Dance instructor at Arthur Murray's, to provide the funds needed to enable her husband Lee to complete college and become a geologist after his return from WW II. After Lee completed his degree, Wilma moved with her husband to Colorado where both of her children were born. The family then moved to Miami where they lived for 3 years until my father was taken hostage during an uprising in Nicaragua. Then the adventure began as the family moved abroad for over 20 years. While abroad, she lived in various locations in Surrey, England and London for close to 20 years. Several years were also spent living in Stavanger Norway. She was blessed to have the opportunity to visit Italy, France, Germany, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, and ride on the Orient Express with her husband and close friends. Wilma was born in Pierce City, Mo on Dec 12, 1927 to Earl Howerton and Alma (Spain) Howerton. She grew up in Monett, Mo; graduating from Monett High School. Wilma is survived by her brother, Jack Howerton of Carthage, Missouri; niece Karen Perkins and husband Chuck; nephews: Barry, Robert, and Andy Howerton and their families; her son Randall Eicher of McKinney, TX; her daughter Sandra Eicher Wright and husband Randy of Stephenville, TX; grandchildren Michael Ritacco and wife Dawn of Katy, TX; Anthony Ritacco and wife Whitney of Houston, TX; Alex Wright and wife Jennifer and great grandsons Jackson and Mitchell of Edmond, OK; Kevin Wight and wife Lindsay and great granddaughter Cheyenne and great granddaughter Brooklyn expected in July 2018 of Humble, TX.
