William L. Wilson, 88, of Lingleville died Friday, October 22, 2010 in Comanche. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Lingleville Baptist Church with Dr. William Michael Wilson, Pat Wilson and Joel Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at the Wilson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home William was born on April 30, 1922 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to the late William and Sarah Butcher Wilson. He married Willie Lee Thomason on July 11, 1944 in Henryetta, Ok. William served during WWII in the Coast Guard. William lived in Midland from 1956 until he moved to Stephenville in 2004. While in Midland he owned B & W Body Shop for over 30 years before retiring. William was a member of the Lingleville Baptist Church, and served as a Deacon for over 50 years in the Baptist Church He is survived by his wife, Willie Wilson; sons, William Michael Wilson and wife Olivia of Weatherford, and Ronald Patrick Wilson and wife Tracey of Lingleville; grandchildren, Mark Andrew Wilson & wife Amy of Denver, Co, Matthew Aaron Wilson & wife Cathy of Ft. Worth, Sarah Elizabeth Turner & husband Branson of Los Angeles, Candace Michelle McIlvain & husband Keith of De Leon, Joshua Shane Wilson of Stephenville, Jessica Rae VanOsdell & husband Jason of Mansfield, Justin Dale Wilson & wife Lauren of Lingleville, Jason Patrick Wilson & wife Tashli of Stephenville; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Harper, Ruby, Kendall, Kamryn, Kreede, Kallen, Karahli; sister, Ruby Allen and husband David of Midwest City, OK. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna and Geneva; and two brothers, Ronald and Hughes.
