William Charles Riddell

William Charles Riddell, 86, of Stephenville, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Hannah officiating. Burial will follow at Howard Cemetery in Eastland County. Visitation will be on Friday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. William was born on January 22, 1925 in Lingleville to the late Leslie and Robbie Mae Williams Riddell. He married Oma Lee Stokes on October 24, 1947 in Stephenville. She preceded him in death February 22, 2002. William served during WWII in the U. S. Army, a member of the Lingleville Baptist Church, and had lived most of his life in the School Hill Community. He was a farmer, rancher, and a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his son, Leslie Riddell and his partner Tim Goetze of Burleson; daughters, Jeane Edwards of Stephenville, Jane Musick of Stephenville, and Tena and husband Jimmy Dennington of DeLeon; grandchildren, Nathaniel Luke Musick, Sara Kate Keith, Jacob Daniel Musick, Carman Nicole Williams, William James Grimshaw, and Karen Jean Jones; and eight great grandchildren.
