Wendol Winfrey Scott

Wendol Winfrey Scott, 82, of Stephenville, passed away Monday, December 1, 2008 in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Payne officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 pm in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Wendol was born on July 20, 1926 in Selden to the late Johnnie Winfrey and Golda Koonsman Scott. He married Marty Talley in 1950. Wendol served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of the Church of Christ. He has resided in Stephenville for the past 19 years after previously living in Fort Worth. Wendol was the Vice President of Service for Cummins Southern Plains. Survivors include his wife, Marty Scott of Stephenville; sons, Randy Scott of Ft. Worth, and Rick Scott of Stephenville; daughters, Lynda Dyann Scott of Stephenville, Alissa Scott of Stephenville, and Rheannon Scott of Stephenville; grandchildren, Leslie Scott, Michelle Deskeere, Angela Scott, Ritchie Scott, Jessyka Floyd, and Mattelyn Floyd; great-grandchildren, Jordan Deskeere, Xander Deskeere, and Aiden Tyler Floyd.
