Wayne Mauldin

Wayne Mauldin, 91, of Gordon, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, in Stephenville Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, Aug. 9, at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Gordon Cemetery in Gordon. Visitation will be Friday evening 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Wayne was born February 21, 1917, in Erath County to the late Jourd J. and Maude McGuire Mauldin. He married Mary Ruth Rucker, June 1940 in Stephenville. She preceded him in death December 19, 1985. Wayne was a member of Gordon Church of Christ where he was very active, and he enjoyed leading singing. Wayne retired after 35 years of service with General Dynamics, and he also was a rancher. He had lived many years in White Settlement before moving to Gordon over 30 years ago. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Waynelle and Glen Brammer of Amarillo; granddaughter, Sherri and her husband Ted Biar; three great grandchildren, Glen, Andrew, and Shannon Biar; and a nephew Carroll Willis McInroe
