Waldo Lowe

Waldo Lowe, 84, of Huckabay, died Monday, February 18, 2013 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 21st at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Huckabay Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Waldo was born on February 8, 1929 in Erath County to the late James Carroll and Velma Danner Lowe. He married Marie Rasberry on January 29, 1954, in Stephenville. Marie preceded him in death October 18, 2009. Waldo served in the U. S. Army, and was a member of the Huckabay Church of Christ. Waldo worked for Wolfe's Nursery and Pair's Nursery for several years, and was employed over 20 years at Tarleton State University. He was a farmer and rancher. Survivors include his daughter, Lajuan Lowe of Strawn; son, Howard Lowe of Huckabay; grandchildren, Amanda Lowe, Jeremy Lowe, Chance Kelleher, and Suede Kelleher; great grandchildren, Chayden Kelleher and Rhyder Baker; brother, Bobby Lowe of Huckabay; and several nieces and nephews. Waldo was also preceded in death by sisters, Geraldine Griswold, Wanda Lord, and Lillian Morris.
