V.J. "Bo" Butler

V. J. ‘Bo' Butler, 63, of Stephenville, died, Monday, May 18, 2009, in Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 21st at Stephenville Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Bo was born August 15, 1945 in Stephenville to the late Charlie Allie and Beatrice Moon Butler. He married Elizabeth Willard August 29, 1961 in Hood County. Bo was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and a life long resident of Stephenville. He was a cement finisher. He is survived by his wife, Liz; two daughters, Tammy and husband Rodney Driver of Stephenville, and Lisa and husband Stacy Wallace of Stephenville; grandchildren, Sean and wife Kandis Hansen, Dustin Hansen, Dylan Driver, and Jordyn Wallace; great grandchildren, Haylee Hansen and Devin Hansen; brothers, Gene Butler of Stephenville, Dan Butler of Granbury; and a sister, Joan Howard of Fort Worth. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Cobb Butler. Family wish expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
