Viva Loraine West, 85, of Stephenville, died Sunday, September 8, 2019, in Stephenville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 11th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Viva was born on March 13, 1934 in Erath County the late Frank Henry and Tennie Mae Pack Wesson. She was a Baptist, and lived most of her life in Erath County. Viva was a bookkeeper and tax preparer. She was preceded in death by husbands, Clinton Gene Jackson, Carl East, and James Ray West.
Survivors include her daughter, Caroline Jean Walker and husband Ace of Stephenville; and son, Johnny Derrell West and wife Lisa of Stephenville; grandchildren Carol Ann Taylor and husband Keith, Christy Welch, Carl Welch, Darby Hernandez and husband O. J., Amanda Pack and husband Wade, and Courtney West Vuicich and husband Chris; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a very close friend, Lita Lanham.
Besides her parents and husbands, Viva was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald Alan West, grandson, Mac Welch; and a sister, Janice Hilliard.
