Virginia ‘Lucy’ Joiner

Virginia ‘Lucy’ Joiner, 88, of Stephenville, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the De Leon Cemetery.

Lucy was born on December 4, 1932 in Comanche County to the late Talmadge Dewitt and Hope Dukes Joiner. She was a graduate of Gorman High School and attended Business College in Abilene. She retired from LTV and from Comanche County Telephone where she worked as an accountant and bookkeeper. Lucy has resided the past 39 years in Stephenville after living in DeLeon and Arlington. Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Billie Jean Grisham of Rucker, Ennis Elwood Joiner of Gorman, Donald Lee Joiner and wife Anita of Houston, David Sam Joiner and wife Sandra of Hideaway Lake, Howard Bill Joiner and wife Barbara of Arlington, Joyce Elizabeth Bramlett and husband Ernie of Stephenville; and many nieces, nephews and loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Chester Lock Joiner.

The Joiner family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Erath County Humane Society.
