Violet Reba Vehon

Violet Reba Vehon, 89, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at a local hospital. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Wells officiating. Burial: Hannibal Cemetery in Erath County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Reba was born on November 4, 1918 in Knox County, Texas to the late Finis and Mary Graham Bratcher. She married Roy Vehon on August 14, 1938 in Duncan, OK. He preceded her in death in 1983. Reba was a member of Cross Timbers Baptist Church and a resident of Stephenville since 1979. She also lived in Wichita Falls from 1936 to 1979. She worked as a retail sales lady at Ben Franklin store for several years. Survivors include two grandchildren, Cindy Kaluzniak of Fort Worth, and Roy Garrison of Stephenville; great-grandchildren, Karen Kaluzniak, Colby Kaluzniak, Andy Kaluzniak, Shawn Garrison and Manuel Garrison; a son-in-law, Carrol Mooney. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Mooney and two brothers.
