Verda Wynell Leatherman October 1, 1936-May 28, 2017 Verda Wynell Leatherman, 80 of Granbury, died Sunday, May 28, 2017 in Granbury. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 2nd at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM (one hr. prior to services.) Verda Wynell, one of ten children, born on October 1, 1936 in Stephenville, to the late Burl Octavous ‘Tavy' and Mary Ellen Diffee Leatherman. She was a homemaker, and had lived many years in Granbury, Stephenville and Mineral Wells. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Verda Wynell was also preceded in death by her nine brothers and sisters; Helen E. Dacy, Mary Alice Leatherman, Marion Johnny Leatherman, Ivan O. Leatherman, Christine Mills, Imogene Smith, Garland Leatherman, Dwain Leatherman, and Ocie Leatherman.
