Vera Mae Collins

Vera Mae Collins, 98, of Stephenville, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in North Richland Hills. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Reed officiating. Interment will follow at East Memorial Cemetery in Stephenville. Vera was born on October 26, 1911 in Erath County to the late W.T. and Eliza Scott Wright. She married William Harvey Collins on July 6, 1930 in Altmon, Texas, and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2000. Vera has resided in Stephenville since 1921 and was a member of the Stephenville First United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a great niece, Judy and John Townley of Bedford and their children, Kory and David Brooks and their daughter, Dani, and J.T. and Mandy Townley; niece, Fay Van Meter and husband Dennis; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Stephenville First United Methodist Church.
