Velma Louise McCoy Massey February 7, 1937 ~ February 26, 2017 Velma Louise McCoy Massey, 80, of Stephenville passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Ft. Worth. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 1 P.M. at Nancy Smith Cemetery. Velma was born on February 7, 1937 in Somervell County, Texas, to the late Joseph McCoy and Tilda Malinda McCarty McCoy. She married Calvin B. Massey on October 3, 1958 in Oklahoma Calvin preceded her in death on September 6,2006. Velma worked as a nurse at Stephenville Hospital and she was a long time resident of Stephenville, Texas. Survivors include her nephews, Larry Tate, of Stephenville, and Lloyd Henry Harper, Jr., and wife, Betty, of Grandview, niece, JoAnn Chambers, and many other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Tilda McCoy, husband, Calvin Massey, and sisters, Dorothy Tate Adkison and Jessie Harper.
