Mexia Tommy Brooks Sims, 79, of Mexia, formerly of Erath County, died Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Mexia. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, at Lingleville West End Cemetery in Lingleville. Services under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Brooks was born November 7, 1930 in the Lowell Community, in Erath County to the late Hugh Thomas and Edna Odeal Robinson Sims. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Brooks was in refrigeration and Air Conditioning work, and had lived the past 30 years in Mexia. Tommy Brooks was the former owner of the Northwind Apartments in Mexia. Survivors include 5 brothers and a sister , Royce of Stephenville, Don of Lingleville, Norman of Seminole, June Talley of Stephenville, David of Arlington, and Arlis of Lingleville; and several nieces and nephews.
