Tom Senter

Tom Senter, 88, of Stephenville, died Monday, October 08, 2007 in Stephenville. Tom was born May 12, 1919, in Stephenville to the late James Conway and Lela Hill Purvis Senter. He married Vera Franks, September 28, 1940, in Stephenville, a marriage of 50 years. She preceded him in death January 25, 1991. Tom was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and American Legion Post 240. He graduated from Stephenville High School in 1937, and retired, after 30 years as an accountant at Tarleton State University. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Susan and Jeff Hendrix of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Norma and Gil Richardson of Stephenville; grandchildren, Melody McCoy, Sarah McCoy, Thomas McCoy, Bryan Richardson, and Emily Richardson; and a great grandson, Tripp Griffin. He is also preceded in death by his second wife, Alice Griffin Senter, an infant son, John Tom Senter, August 1, 1958; two sisters and one brother.
