Thomas Wayne Shelton August 23, 1941 ~ December 30, 2016 Thomas Wayne Shelton, 75, of Stephenville, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016, in Stephenville. Memorial services will be set at a later date. Tommy was born on August 23, 1941 in Hopkins County, to the late George Porter and Edith Jo Wells Shelton. Thomas grew up in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and moved to Stephenville in 1970 as manager of the local Bealls Department store. In 1979 he relocated to Palestine where he managed Bealls for several years. Tommy moved back to Stephenville to be close to his children. Survivors include his daughter, Robin and husband Todd Fanning of Stephenville; son, Tommy and wife Vicky Shelton of Stephenville; grandchildren, Bruce Shelton, Dondra and husband Cody Bedwell and their children, Kinley and Karsyn Bedwell; Branda and husband Shelby Jones; and BJ and husband Quincy Hough; siblings, Helen Sapaugh, Lynn and wife Penny Shelton, Joe and wife Sheila Shelton, Ann and husband Carlisle Clement, and Debbie Roberts all of Sulphur Springs; former wife, Martha Shelton; and several nieces and nephews Besides his parents, Tommy was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Dickens Shelton; and brother-in-laws Wendell Sapaugh, and Gary Roberts Online condolences may be made at www.stephenvillefh.com
