Thomas Charles Buihner, 58, passed from this life on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Stephenville. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 19th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Curt Norman officiating. Thomas Charles Buihner was born of September 2, 1953 to Norman Eugene Buihner and Mary Kathryn Senechal in Tucson, Arizona. He served his country while being enlisted in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era. Tom was probably best known for being an avid reader. Tom was never known to visit any place and not have a book to read while there. He loved the outdoor life and spent a great amount of time near or in the water. Tom also had a love for motorcycles and spent a lot of time with his ‘knees in the breeze'. Tom loved the simple things in life and never wanted anyone to worry about him. Although he didn't necessarily do things the way most people did, he loved his family and friends, and if you needed something he would help out anyway he could. Tom loved his granddaughter, Sydni, and always talked about how he wanted to teach her to swim and shoot a gun when she was old enough. Tom will be missed greatly by son, Erik and wife Lesli Buihner of Katy, Texas; granddaughter, Sydni Buihner of Katy, TX; brothers and sisters, Carolyn Kay Owens of Stephenville, TX, Karen Rae and husband Ron Duncan of Poquoson, VA, James Edward Buihner of Gatesville, TX, and John Joseph Buihner of Stephenville, TX. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Eugene Buihner, and a niece, Tama Lynn Featherson. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the charity of their choice.
