Tena Allene Elliott

Tena Allene Elliott, 93, of Stephenville, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 30, 2008, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Dan Murray, officiating. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. Tena was born February 8, 1915 in Glencove, Texas to the late Lester Lee and Lydia Moore Givens. She married Jess M. Elliott, March 3, 1940 in Bowie, Texas. He preceded her in death October 25, 1976. Tena worked several years as a sales clerk at Ridge T. Manufacturing. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and had lived in Stephenville since 1951. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jess & Jean Elliott of Stephenville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay & Lloyd Helms of Lake Palo Pinto; brother, Kenneth Givens of LaGrange; grandchildren, Kelly and husband Steven Heathington, Kyle and wife Jo Anna Elliott, Krista and husband Matt Todd, Chris Bailey, Lisa and husband Chris Alvarado, and Shane Elliott; seven great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Connie Elliott; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Jack, two brothers, and by one sister.
