Ted Helms June 10, 1954-April, 2017 Ted Helms, 62, of Stephenville, passed away Wednesday, April 05, 2017 in North Richland Hills. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Hart officiating. Ted was born on June 10, 1954 in Fort Worth to the late Johnnie and Jean Loudermilk Helms. He Married LaDonna Schmittou on April 21, 1988 in Stephenville. Ted graduated in 1972 from Stephenville High School and retired from the Stephenville Police Department after 35 years of service. He has resided most of his life in Stephenville living the past five years in North Richland Hills. Ted was an avid Golfer and loved working with people. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, LaDonna Helms of North Richland Hills; sister, Kaye Tidwell and husband Hardy of Stephenville; children, Tiffany Keasler and husband Rob of Abilene, Chris Helms and wife Missy of Stephenville, and Greg Hensley and wife Kristin of Hurst; grandchildren, Dylan, David, Zach, Savannah, Riley, Knealey, and Riley Jean; nephews, Trent, and Todd Tidwell and brother-in-law, Jim Schmittou of Stephenville.
