Tabitha Vandiver McClellan, 89, of Lingleville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
Funeral services for Tabitha will be 11:00 AM, Monday, February 20th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Branham officiating. Burial will follow at East Memorial Cemetery in Stephenville. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Tabitha was born on November 15, 1933, in Wellington, Texas to the late Elbert and Annie Mae Hurst Vandiver. She was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ, Lingleville Friendship Club, and she owned and operated Armstrong McCall Beauty Supply for many years. Tabitha loved to travel, cook, and sew. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Mavericks, and loved to spend time watching events that her grandchildren and great grandchildren participated in. She was a seamstress, and loved spending time with her family.
Tabitha was an amazing lady! Her family has so many memories of playing skipbo, trying on her wigs, running around Sharp Circle, and helping at Armstrong McCall. But the best memories were over the last 17 years as the great grandkids came along and she and her sisters would venture along to all our activities, games, birthday parties, and whatever else we drug them to!
As written by one of her grandchildren, ‘late this afternoon this beautiful lady I've had the privilege to call GRANDMOMMIE went home to our heavenly father’. She was the most wonderful, kind, gentle, beautiful, classy woman. She was a joy and such a delight to be with. She shined goodness in everything. She will be dearly missed but knowing she is now in heaven and knows every face she sees is such a beautiful thing.
Survivors include her son, Randy and wife Cherry Parks; daughter, Teresa and husband Gary Dempsey; sister, Audrey Burdett; grandchildren, Katrina and husband Cody Brister, Sabrina and husband Anthony Vandenberg, Craig and wife Amber Parks, Michelle and husband Josh McArtor, and Kyle and wife Holli Dempsey; great grandchildren, Creece, Crey, Jaxon, Laynie, Katelyn, Jaden, Madelyne, Mya, McClain, Harold Wayne II, Tom, Molly, Carson, Brooklyn, Jaxon, and Hayden; several nieces and nephews.
Tabitha was preceded in death by her husband Alvin D. McClellan, sister, Leona Goodman, and brothers, John Ralph Vandiver and Charles Vandiver.
