Syble was born on January 21, 1929, in Knox City, Texas to Clyde and Bessie Ann Tidwell. As a young adult Syble moved to Lubbock, where she met her husband, Bennett Franklin Lawson, Jr. They raised their family in west Texas until she relocated to Stephenville, where she lived the remainder of her adult life. Syble spent her working career as a bank teller and retired from Bank of America. She was an active member of Riverside Baptist Church. Syble also enjoyed reading, gardening, puzzles, sewing and crafts, painting, and baking. She was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. Syble especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. As a young wife, she always kept a cake in the freezer for impromptu get-togethers with neighbors. She supported a tradition of family meals for every occasion, gatherings which usually included a few rounds of her favorite card game, Canasta, and lots of teasing and boasting. Syble is survived by her daughter, Vickie Williams, of Stephenville, and her son, Ronnie Lawson, also of Stephenville. She was Grandma Syble to her six grandchildren: Aimee, Ashli, Cody, Amber, Shaun, and Tyler. Her nine great-grandchildren called her GiGi: Clara, Cannon, Maci, Sophie, Wyatt, Logan, Morgan, Adyson, and Levi. Syble was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Jack Tidwell, and one son, Garry Lawson.
