Sue (White) Williams

Our beloved mother, Sue Betty Williams, ( Elma Elizabeth White ), 99, of Stephenville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 5, 2024.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 16th, at the Stephenville Funeral Home with David Bearden and Doug Burns officiating. Burial will follow at the Erath Gardens of Memory.

She married Charles Henry Williams on June 24, 1946 in Stephenville, a marriage of 76 years. The couple loved to travel in the late 1970’s and 1980’s, highlighted with travel to Israel and a Holy Land tour as part of a Mediterranean cruise.    Other vacations, they often went to Cloudcroft, New Mexico. The couple were long time members of the Graham Street Church of Christ, in the early years, was a Sunday School teacher with the four year olds. She was a deacon’s wife then an Elders wife for many years.

Survivors include, a daughter, Susan Carol Williams, and a son, Charles Damon, and wife, Mary Ellen Williams.

Grandchildren: Skye Lowe, Kassle Shepherd, Laurel Swinney, and Dr. Cody McLeod.

Great Grand Children: Ainsley Lowe, Brad Lowe, Maddox McLeod, Karsyn McLeod, Avonlea Swinney, and Annelise Swinney.

First Cousins representing the White Family are the following:  Howard Winkler and family, Martha, Bobbie Lou, and Debbie and family.  We have one family member serving in a missions capacity that is living in Brazil.

We have a number of loving family members that live in Arkansas, including Dr. Kevin McLeod and family.

In lieu of flowers the Williams family wish expression of sympathy be made to donations to Foster’s Home for Children 1779 N Graham St. Stephenville, Texas 76401.
