Steve Morgan New

Steve Morgan New, 67, of Sherman formally of Stephenville, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Dallas. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Steve was born September 26, 1943 in Childersburg, Alabama to the late Sam and Lou Carter New. He married Lois Hancock on March 12, 1975 in McCamey, Texas. Steve has resided in Sherman for the past 4 years after previously living in Stephenville and was a member of the Bread of Life Ministries. He worked for Gifford's as an Electronics Technician and retired after 18 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Lois Marie New of Sherman; children, Stephen New of California, Penny Rosales and husband Pete of Abilene, Michelle New of Denver, CO, Samuel New of Stephenville, Paula Robbins of Stephenville, Donna Ramos and husband Martin of Stephenville, Annie Bradford, Jason Blackmon, and Jessica Jones and husband Josh and their child, Zachary of Sherman; twenty grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Worthy of Childersburg, Alabama. Steve was also preceded in death by two sisters; and a brother.
