Sherry Rozelle Land Huffman Whitman

Sherry Rozelle Land Huffman Whitman, 73, of Stephenville, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in Fort Worth.

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, January 12th at Duffau Cemetery in Erath County with Darrell Wallace officiating.  Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Sherry was born on October 18, 1947 in Stephenville, to the late A. D. and Nadine McChristal Land.  She married Don Huffman on October 5, 1973 in Mineral Wells.  Don preceded her in death on July 26, 1997.  Sherry married Randy Whitman, on July 5, 2002 in Stephenville.

Anyone who knew Sherry, knew she was a very Godly woman who demonstrated joy, kindness and love like Christ as she loved her big, wonderful family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she lived to get to see them.  Sherry was a wife, caretaker, mother, grandmother, sister and friend but she worked as a beautician who loved her customers and working with her friends and sister.  She enjoyed cooking and baking desserts was her specialty.  She lived all of her life in Stephenville and attended Seldon Baptist Church.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Randy; daughter, Mindi Turner of Arlington; son, Corey and wife Teresa Huffman of Burleson; Penny and husband Beau Wilson of Lampasas, Donnie and wife Jody Whitman of Stephenville, and Carrie Basham of Stephenville; grandchildren, Trevor, Carter, Keely, Bryli, and Stanton; and a sister, Mozelle Moore of Stephenville, plus many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Don Huffman; Sherry was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Land in December 2020.
