Shaessa Mekea Burns Evans Sept. 28, 1979-July 18, 2015 Shaessa Mekea Burns Evans, 35, of Stephenville, Texas, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Erath County Cowboy Church in Stephenville. Burial: 2:30 PM at Pope Cemetery in Briar, Texas. Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Shaessa was born in Fort Worth on September 28, 1979 to Mike and Cheryl Burns. She was a member of the Erath County Cowboy Church and a lifelong resident of Stephenville. Shaessa graduated from Stephenville High School. She was a loving daughter, mother, and wife who devoted her life to her children, family, many friends and pets. Survivors include her husband Jeffrey Gooding; sons, Kylan and Jay Gooding; parents, Mike and Cheryl Burns; sisters, Tessa Snodgrass and husband Traviz; Sherri Proffitt and husband Patrick; grandmother, Dora Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and those who loved her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Brown; Webb and Dean Burns.
