Scott Allen Smith

Lindale, Texas Scott Allen Smith, 35, of Lindale, Texas passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 in Dallas. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rodger Weems officiating. Interment will follow at West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Scott was born on December 29, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri to James E. Smith and Jeanne Sparlin. He married Michelle Robinson on July 31, 1999 in Stephenville. Scott graduated from Eureka high school in Eureka, Missouri in 1993 and received a Masters in Agriculture from Tarleton State University in 2002. He worked in the Farm Loan Office for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and was also a member of Texas Association of Sports Officials. Scott has resided in Lindale for the past 3 years after previously living in Stephenville since 1993. Survivors include his wife, Michelle Smith; son, Wesley Everett Smith; father and step-mother, Jim and Barbara Smith of Plano; mother, Jeanne Sparlin of Taylor; sister, Kelley Mangrum of St. Louis, MO; brother, Matt Smith of Pflugerville; sister, Jamie Lynne Smith of Dallas; grandparents, Bill and Betty Smith of Moberly, MO; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
