Sanburn Dean (Sam) Spears

Sanburn Dean (Sam) Spears, 74, of Stephenville, died Saturday, September 19, 2009 in Stephenville. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. Sam was born on August 22, 1935 in Stephenville to the late John Sanburn and Cora Ima Cook Spears. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He lived in Ore City, Texas for many years before coming back to Stephenville five years ago. Survivors include his sisters, Joyce Shelby of Stephenville; Barbara Walker of Longview; son, Sanburn Spears, Jr.; two daughters, Sandra and Shelli Spears; brother-in-law J.L. Hale of Crowley. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ima Greeson and husband Lee; Majorie Hall and husband Ed, and Billie Hale
