Sadie Jo (Mcdaniel) Roy

Sadie Jo (McDaniel) Roy, 49, of Stephenville, wife of Scott Roy, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, November 4, 2011 Her memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church in Stephenville. A graveside service will be held for close family in Fayette, Maine on Monday, November 14th. Stephenville Funeral Home in charge of her arrangements. Sadie was born on March 15, 1962 in Fayette, Maine, the sixth of eight children to George and Wilda McDaniel. Sadie worked with the Child Evangelists Fellowship spreading the word of God at the state fairs across Maine 1978-1979. In 1980, she graduated from Livermore Falls High School and she joined the Navy, she met and married Scott Roy in Beaufort, S.C. in 1982. She gave birth to her daughter, Carly in 1986 while stationed in Keflavik, Iceland. Sadie received her Bachelor's degree in Health Care management from Southern Illinois University in 1991, and a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from Tarleton State University in 2006. She was a case manager at Workforce Solutions in Stephenville. Sadie Loved to help others. She spent her life in Service to her country, family, friends, and the Lord. She was an avid baseball fan, and loved her dogs, cats, chickens, cows, and donkeys. Sadie is survived by her husband, Scott; her daughter, Carly Cleveland; son-in-law, Matthew Cleveland, a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force; her mother, Wilda Merrow McDaniel; her mother and father-in-law, Gene and LuAnn Roy, and her siblings, Sharon Snyder, Doris Mitchel, Cindy Lee, Tracy Wiles, Keith McDaniel, Lisa Odom, Vern McDaniel; 4 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, George Edwin McDaniel.
