Ruth Eileen Hanson

Ruth Eileen Hanson, 78, of Stephenville, died Saturday, March 21, 2009 in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Ruth was born May 13, 1930 in Petersburg, Texas to the late Everett E. and Uva Mae (Henderson) Linn.. She married Everett Blasingame. He preceded her in death in 1953. She later married Darrell Hanson August 30, 1958. Ruth passed away peacefuly at her residence, the little white home on the hill where she lived for over 50 years as a loving and devoted wife and mother, raising four boys. She raised gardens, sewed clothes, canned and froze fruits and vegetables, and tended livestock. She had a strong spirit and loved her family, friends, and her Lord. She was a member of the Church of Christ and loved the Truth. Ruth was loved, and will be greatly missed. She was a homemaker and a member of the Patrick St. Church of Christ. She lived in Stephenville since 1958. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Hanson; sons, Gary Blasingame of Tomball, Murle Blasingame of Tolar, Darrell Layne Hanson of Bellevue, NE, Paul Hanson of Fort Worth; brother, Kelsey Linn of Pasadena, Texas and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin E. Linn.
