Ruth Carleen Harris Barham

Ruth Carleen Harris Barham, 95, formerly of Stephenville, passed away May 28, 2012 in Dallas. Graveside Service will be held 12:30 PM, Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Johnson Cemetery in Erath County, Texas with David Rechtin officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Ruth was born on February 20, 1917 to the late Carl and Nell Garrett Harris in Stephenville. She married Clint Anderson Barham on September 27, 1941 in Dallas. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2005. Ruth has resided in Dallas for the past 69 years. Ruth was a member of Clark Road Church of Christ in DeSoto. She worked as a Sales Representative at Cox's in Stephenville, Sanger-Harris and Colbert Volk in Dallas. Ruth was also active with Boys Scouts and PTA while her boys were growing up. Survivors include her sons Dane A. Barham and Bart H. Barham both of Dallas; granddaughter, Amy B. Meek and husband Doug of Kingwood; grandson, Chris Barham and wife Bonnie of Flower Mound, great-granddaughters Madelleine Best, Megan Meek, Emily Barham and Olivia Barham.
