Ruby Jean Pittman (known as “Muggers” to her grandkids), 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday July 20, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones in her home.
Jean was born on April 28, 1935 in Houston to the late D.E. Allison and Loreta Allison. She met the love of her life, Brian Wayne Pittman, when they were in the 5th grade. They graduated from Dublin High School together in 1953 and then married on February 20, 1954, going on to raise two daughters. She was a member of Greens Creek Baptist Church where she played piano for over 40 years. Jean loved to host holiday parties at her house, especially for Halloween, and was known to make the best homemade ice cream for any special occasion. Anyone who met her always felt loved, cared for, and walked away with a full stomach.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband Brian Wayne Pittman of 65 years, her parents Loreta and D.E. Allison, brother Darrel Allison, and Dewayne. She is survived by her two daughters Karen Fritz and husband Marty of Stephenville, and Kaye Tolson and husband Tom of Stephenville, grandchildren Traci, Lindsey, Josh, Britney, and Erin, and great-grandchildren Harrison, Hadley, Madison, Kaylan, and Dayton.
