Ruby Jean (Mckinney) Beverly

Ruby Jean Beverly, 92, of Stephenville, died Monday, May 9, 2022.

Graveside services for Ruby will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 14th at Oak Dale Cemetery, with Weldon Branham officiating.  Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Ruby was born on December 12, 1929, in Stephenville to the late Reuben and Irene Bunnell McKinney.  She married Wayne Wesley Beverly, Sr. on March 3, 1950 in Dublin.  Wayne preceded her in death on September 25, 1998.  Ruby loved to quilt, and being with her family.  She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.  Ruby grew up in Stephenville, and in the late 50’s moved to Benbrook where she resided for twenty years, and later moved back to Stephenville. She was a homemaker.

Ruby is survived by her two sons, Justin Curtis and his wife Carolyn Marie Beverly of Tyler, and Michael Reuben Beverly of Stephenville and daughter in law Becky Beverly of Stephenville; grandchildren, Bobby and her husband Terry Curry, Wayne and his wife Tasha Beverly, Colton Beverly, Michaela Beverly, Amy and her husband Joel Kirkpatrick, Angie and her husband Chris Herrera; great grandchildren, C. J. and his wife Kayla York, Sierra York, Jacob York, Jade,  Kayce and Luke Beverly, Presley and her husband Brandon Arthur, Joel Kirkpatrick; and a great great grandchild, Jaxson York; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, and her husband, Wayne; Ruby was also preceded in death by a son Wayne ‘Shorty’ Beverly, Jr in 2012; sisters, Jewel Lane and Ola ‘Patsy’ Shelton; brothers, Emmett McKinney and Travis McKinney.
