Roger Lon Mcmillin

Roger Lon McMillin, 68, of Stephenville, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Weatherford. Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Hill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Roger was born on December 3, 1947 in Graham, Texas, to the late Amos Ray "Doc" and Jolene Herring McMillin. Roger worked in the oil field for many years and also as a farmer and rancher. He was a resident of Erath County and a Baptist. Roger served his country in the Vietnam War and was a member of the VFW. Survivors include his mother, Jolene McMillin of Hico; children, Matthew Grant McMillin and wife Charlene of Mineral Wells, and Roger Wade McMillin and wife Amy of Weatherford; grandchildren, Novalee, Brylei, Hunter and Logan; sisters, Patricia McMillin of Hico, Janie Matthews of Lipan, and Trena Tarpley and husband Leland of Lipan; brother, Lenard McMillin and wife Connie of Tyler; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Belinda Kay Wade McMillin. The family wishes for memorials to be made to the VFW or the American Legion.
