Robert ‘Bob’ Collins, 81, of Stephenville, died Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 19th at Erath Gardens of Memory. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.
Bob was born on October24, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Lewis and Bernice Caroline Johnson Collins. Bob served over twenty years with the U. S. Air Force where he was a jet engine mechanic and retired as a Master Sergeant. He received his Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from Tarleton State University while working at Appleton Electric then spent time as a supervisor at Pecan Valley MHMR. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, and a member of the Stephenville Rotary Club. Bob loved to travel and was able to enjoy several cruises after retirement.
Bob is survived by his wife, Patsy Laird Collins; daughter, Montyna and her husband Rob Cowan of Omaha, Nebraska, and their children, Lance and Kobe; a son, Mike and his wife Amee Collins of Frisco, TX, and their children, Carson and Connor; and a son, Jerry Collins of Stephenville, and his sons, Bradley, Colten and daughter Nicole; a stepson James Laird of Mustang, Oklahoma; and a brother, William ‘Bill’ Collins, and four great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Jean Mooney Collins.
The Collins family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Valley Grove Baptist Church in Stephenville.
