Robert D. "Bob" Singleton

Robert "Bob" D. Singleton, 66, of Stephenville passed away Wednesday December 19, 2012 in Stephenville. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday December 22, 2012 at Johnson Cemetery with Mike Hannah officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6 PM-8 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Bob was born on July 8, 1946 to the late Robert and Flora (Merkley) Singleton in Vernel, Utah. He married Carrol Vanbebber on November 27, 2003 in Stephenville, Texas. Bob worked as a Maintenance Technician for Chevron for 48 years. He was an Army veteran and a Baptist. He served as assistant fire chief for 38 years and a city councilman for 30 years in Tatum New Mexico. Bob is survived by his wife Carrol of Stephenville; Sister Connie Pope of Vernal, Utah; three sons; four daughters; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
