Robert Doyle "Bob" Sherrod

Robert "Bob" Doyle Sherrod, 85, of Stephenville passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 in Stephenville. Bob was cremated and there are no services scheduled at this time. Bob was born on August 6, 1928 to the late George Tuttle and Elva Dona Parnell Sherrod in Johnsville, Texas. He married Erma Lucille Talley in Stephenville in 1949 and she preceded him in death on August 16, 1956. Bob married Evelyn Sue Porter on February 6, 1959 in Fort Worth. He was a veteran having served in the Army Air Corps at the end of WWII in the Philippines. Bob retired after a career in the Postal Service. He was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ. Bob is survived by his wife, Evelyn Sue Porter Sherrod of Stephenville, TX; brother, Frank Marshall Sherrod of Stephenville, TX; 3 sons, Robert Doyle Sherrod Jr. and wife Ann of Grand Prairie, TX, Marshall Wayne Sherrod and William Larry Sherrod of Stephenville, TX; 3 grandchildren, Richard Eric Sherrod and wife Vonda of Arlington, TX, Chrystal Danielle Sherrod Collins and husband Jason of Cincinnati, OH, Chelsea Sherrod of Kingsville, TX; 7 great-grandchildren.
