Robert James Bashaw, Md

Robert James Bashaw, MD, 52, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 25, 2008. Dr. Bashaw was born on May 14, 1956 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to the late Francis E. and Ione Greene Bashaw. He married Holly Coy on May 16, 1981 in Dallas. He graduated from Cornell University, and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he met is wife Holly. Dr. Bashaw was a resident of Stephenville since 1994. He was a loving husband and father, with an unconditional love for his family and friends. He was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher for the youth. He also served as a member of the SISD Board of Trustees for the past nine years. Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Rocky Point Baptist Church with Brother Gary Ward and Dr. Bashaw's brother-in-law, H. Scott Coy officiating. Visitation will be after the service. Dr. Bashaw is survived by his wife of 27 years, Holly Bashaw, two sons, Joshua Francis Bashaw and Matthew Robert Bashaw; two daughters, Heather Marie Bashaw and Hannah Coy Bashaw; brother, Frank Barry Bashaw and spouse Diane, of Garland; sisters, Elizabeth Ann Bashaw and husband Rich Feeney, of Alaska, and Nancy Lynn Seaman and spouse Charlie, of Arlington; in-laws, Harry C. and Marjorie G. Coy, of Athens, TX; Donna C. Coy of Athens, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Pregnancy Center or to the donor's charity of choice.
