Robert Darrell ‘Bob' McKeage, 79, of Stephenville, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Community Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 11, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hico Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Bob was born September 20, 1927, in Chalk Mountain to the late Robert N. and Maude I. Walker McKeage. Bob married Barbara Jean Lewis, July 9, 1955, in Berkeley, Mo. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, and a long time member of the Masonic Lodge in Troy, Mo. He was a member of the Selden Baptist and Pony Creek Baptist Churches. Bob lived many years in the Moscow Mills/Winfield, Mo., where he raised hogs. He moved back to Stephenville in 1995. after retiring from Monsanto as a security officer. He loved raising animals, farming, ranching, gardening, and ‘old time' fiddle music. Survivors include his wife Barbara of Stephenville; two sisters Una Lorean McKeage of Stephenville, and Helen Little of Houston; cousin, LeRoy Worrell of Stephenville; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Jean McKeage, and four sisters Wayne McKeage, Juanita Wallace, Doris Christopher, and Dixie Ingram.
