Richard V Wren

Richard V. Wren, 64, of Hico, passed away Tuesday February 5, 2008 at his residence. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 8, 2008 at Nancy Smith Cemetery in Somervell County with Rev. Bill Grisham officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Richard was born on September 11, 1943 in Mexia, Texas. During his life he was an auto parts salesman, a cabinet maker, a carpenter, a warehouse manager, and a lumber salesman. He also spent 20 years in the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966 with the 1st Infantry Division. He was also stationed in Germany 3 times as well as Korea and various bases in the United Sates. Richard is survived by his wife, Veda Faye Wren; step-son, Michael Lindsey; mother Willo Boyle; sisters, Verlene Hall and Debra Lundy; and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Cornelius Wren.
