Richard Arthur Swanson March 11, 1943 - December 14, 2016 Richard Arthur Swanson, 73, of Dublin passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in Dublin. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 17th at Graham Street Church of Christ with Don Parker and Hughbert Collier officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date at East Lawn Cemetery in Early. Richard was born on March 11, 1943 in East Detroit, Michigan to the late Abraham Been and Francis Elaine Bearden Swanson. He married Deborah Elaine Chambers on June 17, 1989. Richard served in the U. S. Army from 1961 until 1963. He was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ and was a truck driver. He supported the DAV, Wounded Warriors, and the VFW. He has lived in Dublin for many years. Survivors include his wife, Deborah; brother, Ronald Swanson of Dublin; sisters, Evelyn Blauser and Kay Forester; daughter, Michelle who lives in Great Bend, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Swanson family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or Fosters Home for Children.
