Raymond Mccoy

Raymond McCoy, 87, of Stephenville, died Monday, May 6, 2013, in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 9th at Stephenville Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Nancy Smith Cemetery, near Glen Rose. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Raymond was born on December 10, 1925 in Glen Rose to the late Dewey Wilburn and Minnie May Stewart McCoy. He married Edith Mayfield in August of 1985. She preceded him in death December 23, 1999. Raymond was a member of the Baptist Church, and had lived most of his life in Stephenville. Raymond is survived by his brother, Bill McCoy of Stephenville; sister, Lela Hyles of Mineral Wells; nephews and nieces, Ray McCoy, Gail Ainsworth, Cathy Clark, Jerri Montgomery, Jr. McCoy, Jimmy Don Burns, Billy Ray Hyles, and Jim Hyles. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Walter McCoy; and by a sister, Lillian Burns.
