Rayburn "Ray" Donald Baker Sr., 86, of Granbury passed away March 7, 2014 in Granbury. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Cowboy Church of Erath County with Werth Mayes and John Tunnel officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00 PM at Willow Pond Cemetery, Mineral Wells, TX. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Ray was born on June 23, 1927 to the late Dick Wilburn Baker and Mary Alice Hughes in Perrin, TX. He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion in Granbury. Ray worked as butcher and restaurant owner. He married Virginia Carver on February 19, 1994 in Mineral Wells. Ray was a member of Cowboy Church of Erath County. Ray is survived by his wife, Virginia Baker; daughter, Rhonda and husband Jimmy Fowler; 3 grandchildren, Jerry Fowler and wife Tammy, Donald Fowler and Chris Baker; great granddaughter, Chase Baker; great- great grandchildren, Levi Baker, Joshua Barrett; brothers and sisters, Bobby Baker and wife Sue, Clara and Shorty Hestilow, Larenda and Bill Raffale, Louise and Jim Tully. Ray was preceded in death by his first wife Rita Hudson Baker on June 14, 1992; son, Rayburn Baker Jr.; great granddaughter, Stormi Barrett; one sister and 3 brothers.
