Randy Ray Young, 65, passed away in a nursing facility on July 7, 2020 in Brownwood, Texas.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 10 at 10 AM at the Duffau cemetery.
Randy was born on May 14, 1955 in Stephenville, Texas. He was born to Joe D. Young and Charlene Laney Young. Randy resided in Stephenville until he enlisted in the Navy in 1972. He met and married Julie Sue Young while stationed in Maryland. They had two daughters Robin and Victoria. In 1991, Randy opened and ran Charlene's Chicken House, a restaurant previously owned by his mother and father in Stephenville, Texas.
Randy is survived by his mother, Charlene Young of Selden, Texas, daughter, Robin Higgins and her husband Scott Higgins of Chico, Texas, daughter, Victoria Cheek and her husband Doug of Stephenville, Texas, grandchildren, Mark Brower Jr, Trent Higgins, Wendell Bryan Baker, Peyton Higgins and Krislynn Cheek. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Julie Young, father, Joe D. Young, sister, Diane Pierce, and brother, Larry Young.
