Rachel Wesson (Wright) Lange

Rachel Wright Wesson Lange, 96, of Stephenville, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 in Stephenville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 22nd at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Branham officiating. Burial will follow at East Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Rachel was born on August 8, 1923 in Woodson, Texas to the late K. J. and Dilla Shaw Wright. She married Reverend William Charles Wesson on September 19, 1939 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on October 9, 1975. On April 20, 1979, in Stephenville, Rachel married Louis August Lange. He also preceded her in death on January 17, 1998. Rachel was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, and spent most of her life working in the dining hall at Tarleton State University.

Rachel is survived by her daughter, Wanda Watson of Stephenville; daughter-in-law, Donna Wesson of Stephenville; grandchildren, Terry Wayne and wife Hilton Edington, Michael Roy Edington, Charles Wesson, Jr., Debbie Wesson Cashell, and Scotty Dean Wesson; 16 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; sisters, Opal, Ruby, and Betty Jo; brother, Wayland; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, Rachel was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Wesson, Sr.; grandchildren, Joseph Charles Edington, Donald Ray Edington, and James Leroy Edington; four sisters, and three brothers.
