Rachel Diane Harrist

Rachel Diane Harrist, 24 of Stephenville, died Saturday, October 13, 2007, after a long battle with leukemia. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, October 16 at Stephenville Funeral Home with Gary Williams officiating. Rachel was born, February 8, 1983 in Stephenville. She was a 2001 graduate of Canyon High School in Canyon. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University in 2005. She coached softball and volley ball for the past year in the Breckenridge School Dist. She lived most of her life in Stephenville. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Diane Taylor-Revere and Gary Revere of Stephenville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Chris and Jennifer Harrist of College Station, and Dylan Taylor of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; nephew Christopher Harrist; maternal grandparents, Charles and Pat Gilley of Stephenville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends; her father, Tony Harrist of Mesquite; paternal grandmother, Louise Harrist of Indianapolis, Indiana; and paternal grandfather, Fred Harrist of Texarkana, Texas In lieu of flowers, the family wish memorials be made to the leukemia lymphoma assn, or a memorial scholarship to be named at Tarleton State University.
