R. Ben Miller

R. Ben Miller, 77, of Stephenville, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, with Reverend Steve Holston officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Ben was born August 20, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Justice Benjamin and Thelma Carol Browndyke Miller. He received his BS degree from Texas A&M Commerce. Ben married Sarah Brotherton on June 5, 1957 in Commerce, TX. He was a member of the Baptist Church, co-founder of the Cross Timbers Polled Hereford Assn., past board member of the Erath County Farm Bureau, member of the Stephenville Coin Club, and member of the NRA. Ben was a rancher. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; son, William Benjamin Miller of Cleburne; daughter, Kathryn and husband Barry Smith of Possum Kingdom; grandchildren, Kasandra and Blake Smith; and a niece and nephew.
